Watching NPCs land on the Carrier deck from the bridge

Is this possible?

The entire time I've had my Carrier it's been a hive of activity, no matter where I am in the Galaxy. With this in mind I decided to switch from the Nautilus layout back to the Victory I originally had, specifically so that I could see all of that activity whilst I pranny about on the bridge and in my exclusive quarters. Since switching over I haven't seen a single ship dock.

Is it just bad luck? Anyone out there able to confirm the ability to watch landings?

I think they stop spawning once you are in the carrier, so you'll see the last few leave but no new ones will spawn and land on the carrier. This is most likely an oversight (bug) and it would be nice to watch the traffic from inside the carrier.

I assumed it would be much like watching traffic from the bar of a station, hopefully it's a bug, oversight or 'nice touch' that can be added later. At least I know now not to sit waiting for ages for something that just isn't going to happen.

I can hear them while in the corridor/hangar, and even have the "why are you scanning me" text shows up (which is weird). But apparently, they are quantum traffic, who disappear as soon as you try to look at them.

Hopefully they will get fixed in 11.1 along with large gimbaled frags and light dots for planetary bodies (which went missing from supercruise)

Edit: oh... and engineers unlock... and well... if it's not too much - terrain lod issues
