Months ago as I was heading back to the bubble from the core, I was really tiring of the jump-honk-check for rares monotony. So I started looking for ways to distract myself while still making progress. Having no second monitor (besides a hdtv wall mounted almost directly behind me) watching videos on Youtube wasn't practical. Until I found this.
-Windowed fullscreen or windowed has to be set in Elite*
-With Chrome (I believe Firefox has something like this too) install Floating for YouTube. Once it's installed open it and make sure the pin at the top that says Always on top is not disabled.
-Find what you want to watch in your browser and copy the URL.
-Paste URL into the app and it will auto start. (will play entire playlists too!)
-You can create a shortcut of the app by clicking details in the extensions page on Chrome (will run without Chrome being open)
Now you can go into the game and with the menu/galaxy/system map open, adjust where you want to place it and how big it is. Hope this helps someone!
