Water Rides boat limit

I'd like to see an increase of the amount of boats you can have on the rides, like River Rapids, and not have to increase the station size.
I have a fairly long ride, it is more of a sightseeing rapids ride, but unless I make the station super long, I can't add more boats. It is already 52 metres long (I counted the 4x4m square tiles). I can only have 16 boats. The queues can get very long with the wait times.
Also makes for making a station that size a little bit more difficult without making it look too much.

In real life, the number of rafts could be theoretically nearly as high as they could fill up the complete track.

Log flume logs are able to bump others in front of them. As long as they don't hit others while still inside the splash zone, the number could get increased without problems.

A new station functionality would be required which won't stop the rafts/logs. Rafts: round rotating station (like existing nearly everywhere).
Log flume: straight station with transport belt and round rotating station (working like the one for rafts)
