Water surface behaviors?

I was thinking if it would be possible to add new animations to animals when they are standing still while swimming on the surface. Animals that could benefit from these animations would be crocodiles, flamingos, otters, seals, and so on. I think it would add more immersion to see these animals doing things (looking around, making calls, preening) on the water surface rather than just moving around or standing still.

Where I work, I often see gray seals do a “spy hop” out of the water where they see what’s all going on on the surface then dive back down.
Sometimes the seals just put their snouts out of the water.
A place I used to work that had an underwater viewing, the seals would swim uniquely underwater, often times they would look still which caused guests to think the seals were dead. Reality is they sometimes like to put their snouts right next to some underwater jets and often not move for some time.

Crocodiles should randomly just splash in the water (like ZT2 did). Also, wouldn't it be cool to have a croc enrichment object that like hanging food and they tail-thrust out of the water to eat it?

I would like my crocs to sometimes just sit at the bottom of the pool and do nothing for hours at a time. And to sit at the surface just hanging about for hours at a time.

In essence, I'd like them to be less active. Might be read as "more boring" to some people but I've never been bored staring at a still crocodile in real life, so I don't see why I'd get bored with it in the game either.
