Way to remove mouse cursor while docked at stations?

I haven't played in a month and a half or so, coming back because of the wing update, was really excited about it, and now this is kinda putting me off. Docked at my first station and when I opened the station services I noticed the mouse cursor automatically pop up. This is annoying as hell because of the way I have my controls set up. My mouse is perma-headlook, and left/right click are my UI confirm/back binds. This continues to function as is except when I'm in the station services menus which is, you know, kinda a big part of the game. I don't know when this became a thing, but it definitely never did this last time I played right from launch day.

Is there anyway I can turn this off? I put "Headlook toggle" onto a bind for the temporarily solution of turning it off when I'm using station services, but this is VERY disorientating because when I move my mouse I /expect/ my head to move. I would prefer to do away with the cursor.

EDIT: Okay so let me try to further explain why this is so annoying for a user like me. And why it should definitely be an option to turn off. When headlook is on and you open the station services the mouse cursor is both there and the mouse moves your head. Which wouldn't be a problem, except like I said I use left click for select. So even if I keep the mouse still to keep the camera still - which is what I normally do anything to keep the UI focused - when I left click on something it's no longer 'selecting', it's clicking where the cursor is. Which naturally is nowhere near what I'm trying to select. But to move the cursor over what I want to select, it moves the camera and unfocuses the UI. It's extremely annoying.

I feel like this should get a little more light. I don't know when this got added, but it's silly and would be a very simple thing to make it an option or not even have it at all - you know, like it was for a long time. I understand it may seem stupid or trivial to many, but unlike some of the other things that need to be worked on in the game this is something that could get rolled into a small hotfix in a day if Frontier were made aware there's a demand for this kind of option.

Did a search and ended up here from the future. I'd like add "me too" as well - the mouse cursor gets in the way when using TrackIR, randomly selecting items as I look around.

A bit irking to have the cursor not functioning as one might expect a cursor to function... I use mouse very rarely in ED for anything these days, so kinds of have come to ignore the cursor's presence (whenever it's present).

Yeah bugs me a little bit too tbh. Would be good for it only to appear on mouse move and fade after a period of inactivity or movement by another controller.
