Ways to play the game

In these days I am not able to play Elite Dangerous because my PC is in a room downstairs and too far away from children.

So sitting in the living room, laptop on my lap, and reading forum and fighting for statistics and enjoying my time with you, fine Elite people.

Actually it feels like playing the game, or part of it.

Nah, just kidding. No way to play on the laptop with tuned down settings or get your children closer to you?

Now drop that laptop (accidentally, uh-huh ;) ) and buy a new one with good VGA specs and play the game (and read forums) downstairs again :)

Obviously you're on your way to getting that 4th elite status (or 5th if you CQC).
Wait a second, is the downstairs full of sharp objects or something? Bring them to the man cave.
One eye on the screen, one on the kids.
Your better half will think very highly of your multitasking skills.

My game PC is in a central public space. This means I can't speak over voice comms, but that only affects PvP wing missions.

I want to be instantly available whenever kids are demanding it. It's a hard time for them here as for private hassle as it is for me.

So playing downstairs with headset fully immersed is not working ;-)
And playing it not fully immersed ;-) is not working too.

So I fully immerse into forum which is easy interruptible without breaking ma' immershion ;-)

Elite dangerous forum is better than not playing at all!

How can you ever been “too far away” from children? Even the universe isn’t that big!

Even better idea, get your kids some gaming rigs, and their own accounts and spend time with them ingame :D

Yeah, don’t forget to interact with your kids though. They’re only this age once.
