We are fighting the wrong Thargoid. They do not disable our ships.

Had my first Thargoid interaction today. Went into an Alien Signal Source carrying an occupied escape pod I had picked up in another non-Thargoid signal source.
The Resident Thargoid was all red and angry, with Thargons swarming, when I got in, but it calmed down, scanned me, and left peacefully... I did not have any of the new-fangled weapons installed, and the only thing I was carrying was one occupied escape pod, and I never shot at a barnacle or a Thargoid ship during the last year.. much on account of being busy being far away from the action most of the time.

The Thargs don't want to outright kill humans. It's more likely that they want us alive, to grind into fertilizer and used to grown their invasion fleet.

Sounds just as efficient and plausible as the machines in The Matrix harvesting eletrical energy from human bodies...

Lore wise, we went into their area of space, blasted their barnacle sties, mined them for resources, stole the UAs/UPs (which seem to be alive), blasted those too, murdered the scavengers and shoved guardian-tech into their planetside bases, causing them to explode. Frankly, that they don't attack sight suggests they're more benevolent than we are....

Given the course of human history it's probably not too surprising that people see something new and want to blow it up - but it's still a bit depressing that the xenos show up, and the majority seem to want just more mindless pew-pew rather than a chance to unravel a mystery.

You don't save people by destroying their ship first, and then collecting escape pods

Except for a few things:
* The damage on the ships DOESN'T match the damage from their weapons when attacking commanders. The fingerprints don't match.
* Note there are battle sites with Pods and Probes that have no xenos there. If the ones doing the killing are the 'goids, why leave that stuff behind? Why are they only coming back later? Perhaps because the ones we're seeing are chasing the ones doing the killing.
* It's very possible that Faction A is killing the ships, and then Faction B is coming through looking for clues on the whereabouts of Faction A. If that's true, we're shooting the ones that should be our allies.
* If they're the ones doing the attacking, experience suggests they were likely attacked by the humans first - since they don't attack unless provoked.
* Very worst case - they did exactly as you suggest. But as noted - we're in their space after blasting their barnacle sties, stealing/killing UAs/UPs, murdering the scavengers and shoving guardian-tech into their planetside bases - they're likely just defending themselves.

-No, there are the fingerprints, those greenish clouds are present, i assume they come out from hull corrosion.

- Normal USS without any alien vessel in it is just a cloud of metal scrap and some containers that survived the explosion, their weapons seem more capableofo disable a ship (even if some parts fall down) while ours... well, they go boom!

I don't think the good goids come and shoo the bad goids away after they disabeled the ships, sofar i never saw one chasing another but just one or more ships collecting the goods they were intrested in.
It happens that tose goods are inside our ships, "Me want that, me stronger, me get that".

Those 2 are at war, if they meet eachother they will fight for sure, if they fight at least one ship has to be destroyed or disabeled, we did not saw any thargoid wreck or fights and i don't think they simply disappear in an anomaly.

It is however possible that the good goids abduct us in order to preserve our species.
They may believe that we don't stand a chance against the bad xeno's, so they interdict us, pick the survivors up and free them on a earth like planet in another dimension where they are safe or simply put the pods in statis stocked somewhere in the void.

Worst case scenario, they abduct people to develop their counterpart of the Mycoid virus.

This makes me think that meaby those 2 factions think on different ways about what could have happened in the past:

Thargoids meet the Guardians
Thargoids eradicate Guardians
Oresians (good flowers) not happy about that while the Klaxian's are, ending to split up one race, even if that could have had a lot of different reasons.
