YouTuber kurtjmac has a single Minecraft game running since 2011 to the current day, without updating the game and dying even once. Which is eight years. His quest is to reach the end of the game world.

He is even in the Guinness records, which BBC should have checked, before talking about "records" and has over 381k subscribers on YouTube (not 3k).
