We cannot reach to Orion thanks to 15ly thing. Can you buff this thing to like 20 already ?

Maybe as the technology of the universe increases we will eventually have the means to do this...

Whats the rush? Do you have a date waiting for you in Orion or something? No shortage of other places to colonize...

I've got to agree with the OP here, 15 LY is more of a hop than a leap in this game. Personally if you can reach a system in one jump why not?
But either way 15LY seems a pretty tight leash to me.

20 is still too low, but if we can badger 5 at a time out of them repeatedly, we'll get to a good number eventually.

It doesn't show in the game but you can't plot a route through the Orion nebula as it flags as permit locked. You have to manually target/jump to each system, it's been like that for as long as I can recall

Yeah I spent like days trying to figure out a route from the places nearby already colonized with no luck! It is what it is, it's nice to have some mystery. Hopefully someone will make it.

Also DW3 will start from this area, so I'm sure with that many pilots on it some way will be found.

The Orion Nebula Tourist Centre in PMD2009 48 has system colonisation suspended, and the fact that there is a (rather convenient) 75ly gap of nothingness all the way around the Orion Nebula means we're not supposed to colonise there until FDev wants us to. Probably the same reason why the colonia/explorers anchorage stations also have system colonisation suspended

Strange thing with the plotting.
I was out in the back of Orion where the DW3 building is when the call for help finishing that station near the bubble came in, I targeted the station and hit plot route and it worked. Took me out past Orion then on the far side of the Witch Head all the way into the bubble.

The day after the station was finished I successfully plotted a route back but when I got near Orion I made the mistake of trying to change to economic and my ability to plot went away again so I had to target the rest of my way back.

The plotted routes were 25 jumps to the bubble and 29 back as I had moved around while there the ship was capable of around 58Ly jumps.

Orion Nebula is the paradise of the Orion Spur. Running Man, Horse-head and Barnard's Loop are in fairly close proximity to each other, especially Running Man and Orion. I've spent many hours at and around the Orion Nebula Tourist Centre. There's no (or not much) commerce out there which is why I hope colonization can expand to there. I'm in Pleiades atm helping out when I can with construction work. I know there's a large area of locked systems around Witch-head but its not too bad to go around them. ... done it several times. I'll move outward and help haul goods whenever /if it happens.

On the other hand, if someone wants to colonize a system just at the outskirts of Orion, there is an advanced mini bubble there already, and everything needed is readily available. Meaning usually at 5-10 lys away..! I brought a carrier along but there's no need for it.

unlikely, in a previous frontier unlocked they said they are very happy with the current range, its partly due to the massive groups in many different locations making huge strides in low amounts of time.
