We deserve an Official answer from David Braben (I dont think he really knows what happened with 1.)

As the title, the 1,1 had some issues, and still has issue that need to be addressed.
The huge collision bug that is keep pplayers to log and play is huge.
They clearly ignored the Betatester feedback that was given puttin live a broken patch. In this video released 4 days from the 1.1 live https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=111255
Also in a ticket they sais they fixed the problem, and support lied.
Now Im pretty sure that if Braben love is creation like me and many other players and was aware of this he would react and do something, instead there were no comunication or misscomunication from the Dev in regards.
At this stage of the game, where there is a ton of things that need to be addressed and modified they should listen the players and betatester more, what happened is not a very progfessional feedback. Is like to order a pasta in a nice Italian restaurant with flies, telling to the clerk the fact and he bring it back the plate with the flies....
Now I know the FD team is probably very busy working on future content, but as a customer i really want to hear here in the forum or in a Video a Braben explanation about what happened, and what he will do in the future to avoid problems like this.
Clearly a command chain was missing.
Whats the purpose to have a Betatester player base that test things for you being customer, and not listen to them.
The game need a balance of weapons, some fixes, but it need now, before people get mad and quit the game, because this is an amazing game, a game I always desire, since I was a kid looking at stars in the night.
The game Industry is tough, with big names on shoulder, and people change game very fast if you screw things.
Im pretty sure Im not the only one that want an official explanation, but not from Moderators, I want Braben to talk and communicate with us, because we are his asset, we live his Universe, his game, our game, we paid for that.

Thanks have a safe flight.

I think the plan was always to release 1.1 to live exactly when they did, and to go through beta test reports and fix issues in the weekly hotfix patches.
Not saying that is the best of ideas, but it does appear to be the case.

Absolutely. It was perfectly clear from the beta forum that there were several game-crushing bugs still in place. In the announcement thread there were people clamoring over releasing a broken update, that trillions of credits worth of ships would be lost due to collision bug!

Frontier needs to have an answer and an apology for this.

What answer are you looking for kid? Sorry we're trying to improve the game?

If they were trying to improve the game they would have listened to what the testers told them. What they were probably actually doing is hitting an arbitrary but fixed deadline set by some suit for reasons unrelated to 'improving the game'.

and what exactly would that be good for? not like he would be able to wave a magic wand and all bugs are gone. quite obvious something went wrong for whatever reason, best FD could do is work on fix right now.

+Repped.
I think I'll be out for a while. I really don't like how things are going here, and big 'balancing' passes reveal the game is far from being mature, otherwise they would be small fine-tuning interventions.
I spent over 1 month learning how to fly and fight and now too many changes broke my tactics. Too much for me, along with releasing a wonderful, hyped 1.1 that's completely broken and didn't take into account a lot of important improvements requested before (navigation fixes and trading tools).

I think it's the right moment to take a break and enter the Star Citizen world.

I deserve it I want a an answer, as a customer, Im pretty sure that Braben is not aware of these problems.
I saw many other games failing for this reson, and I dont want that this happen with Elite. Thats it.
They need to improve their comunication system, player base, betatester, dev , Braben.

See thats what will happend if they dont change something.
They have to prevent this....

The entitlement in strong in OP. Let me help you: you don't deserve anything but to participate in the development of a brilliant game that is still in an very early stage. So stop whining, it gets annoying! Otherwise, please go back to your mindless Pew Pew games.
The time of "participation" should have ended with 1.0 in december. A game thats *unplayable* in 1.1 LOL is far from being in a beta stage. It's not already there.

I don't get it, they release a patch, ok a few bugs slip through... it's not the end of the world guys.
Avoid stomach ulcers by calming down, they will fix the issues; if it upsets you that much, don't play within 3 days of a patch till all is ironed out.

This post is a joke.

These bugs were well known before it was released and they released it anyway. You don't see the problem?

You're just going to swap your ticket on this line for a more expensive hypetrain. Reminds me of the guy who ragequit (and yet still posts), by spending five hundred bucks on SC; kind of like getting earrings for a hooker you met just after leaving your wife.
