We need more control over expansions

Ever since the new BGS mechanics expansions have been out of control.
Systems that aren't even being serviced are getting insane Inf levels, followed by a plethora of "Expansion" missions in all faction mission boards, thus making it impossible not to expand.
Our faction is in a sector of space where most of our neighbouring systems have a player faction in control. We really need to control our expansions very carefully. Instead we appear to be spreading like a virus...

I can only recommend working to keep your Influence down around the 50% level. That at least gives you time to spot it moving in either direction so you can do something about it before it becomes a problem.
Working for the lowest faction in the system is a quick way to shift influence from you to them.

It's not that we don't want to expand, but previously we were able to control which system we expanded from and when. Now we seem to be in a constant state expansion with no clue where from or to until it happens.
This makes it a full time job keeping an eye on things.
I already have a full time job. This isn't supposed to be it.
