We need more real exterterestrial life look to KGB Book of alien races

Hello I am very happy to see your game improving with each update I have a powerful suggestion that would make your game soar in popularity 10 times over. I have noticed the lack of exterestrial presence and the ones witnessed so far are only by the ships seen on remote planets harvesting energy. I wanted to voice I am quite concerned with what all of you will come up with. You see movies like Independence Day and Zenomorph and the aliens look so fake. Real pop culture and exterterestrial enthusiasts know of the KGB book of the alien races. The most common the greys of Zeta reticuli. The tall blondes of the pleiadies and orions. The Arcturians the most highly advanced and spiritual of all alien races, the sirians and also too mention the somewhat bad guys known as reptilians. Imagine if all those common races were added with their own planets and societies in the game ultimately would bring massive attention to your game. Likes would topple over on your Facebook page in the millions. You must understand the world has a heart for the pleiadies if you ever watch the video pleiadian message it has almost 2 million views. Same goes to the Lacerta interview with a female reptilian also 2 million views the world is very aware of these races and is begging to get tired of the mainstream intertainment showing fake Aliens like the Zenomorth movie and Independence Day. Please take this and research what I have spoken about to the developers I want to see you making much more than you make now.

I have had a quick glance and all it seems to be is bipedal odd shaped humaniforms, just like the old star trek movies, most aliens were people with funny shaped heads. Oh there were a few different alien forms but not many. It's almost certain that aliens, if we every encounter them, aren't going to be just funny shaped humans. Lacerta, human shaped lizards, really? Tall blonde Pleiadies and Orions, really? Tall blonds? You can't see how earth-centric that is? How limited in imagination that is?

I can only imagine this is a POE designed to elicit extreme responses, so I shall just say, you are wrong in just about everything you wrote.

Yes, I think the OP was wrong in detail, but not in essence: perhaps we should stumble upon some pre-warp races occasionally and some warp capable races just very very occasionally. Some scans could give us info, and leave it (for the moment) at that). This does not mean we need to go to war.

For example when we scan an exo planet, there may be life forms there. A nice report picture would be good, with info: This (for the moment) could just be some nice artwork of plants, life-forms, bacteria, viruses, etc. etc. Something to build upon. Not much programming required, just a few artists / creators splashing some colour around the universe. Lots of credits for finding them of course. This would help massively with the exploration gameplay, and eventually would be important to trade out is the human bubble.

Receiving some comms from a warp capable race would pop up their picture - or we could scan a 'ship' and get pictures / codes / info. Gameplay could be developed on that eventually. The aliens may want help, or may want to come with us on our explorations. They do not need to be war-like.

I hope FDEV brings more variety in apart from the Thargomids and Guardians. Some of the other lifeforms may become allies or 'helpers', or may indeed try to hinder us.... lots can happen.

Oh I agree entirely with the sentiment, I am an explorer at heart, ancient dead civilisations, abandoned and inhabited ringworlds, dyson spheres, derelict alien ships, weird alien life forms, strange devices and artefacts, odd ships appearing and vanishing before you can tell what they are, maybe leading you on a chase across the galaxy following wakes, there are many things we could do with, but aliens shaped like humans with crabs on their heads isn't it! :D

The OP has a naïve idea of alien despite having the right sentiment, he just needs to ground himself in the real universe not made up stories. The universe is stranger than any story or made up stuff, I just hope I am around long enough to meet some of it, and be dinner maybe lol..."To Serve Humans"

People we only viewed a small part of the galaxy. They can add alot to this. So give them time.

I like these suggestions and would definitely make exploration more interesting, imaging being the first to find life somewhere. You'd feel like Charles Darwin! Though if there was artwork, it would make sense for it to show the predominant species as there unlikely be a single species on a planet.

I also think there should be some forms of non-intelligent life around the galaxy somewhere, but perhaps slightly more evolved than bacteria and viruses. Simple mammals, primates, amphibians... That sort of thing. If the universe is able to produce technologically advanced space-faring races other than humans, then surely it's able to produce non-intelligent life which evolutionary perspective is far more likely anyway?

Who knows what we might find when we get to land on planets with atmospheres. We're unlikely to find much on dead beige rocks.

Good to see the enthusiasm for this and some of my humble suggestions.

Siobhan - in the meantime, before we get land-able atmospherics, we could have some report like: "Signs of post industrial society, but appears to be pre-warp" along with an ariel picture of a development. Perhaps tech levels could be invented and spoken of in the description. Collecting these "cards" adds exploration value and credits when presented to exo-biologists, social engineers, historians etc. Also, I disagree that we might not find anything on a planet without atmosphere. It could be simple life.....

Same with life-forms (of all levels). At this stage we do not need to "see" them as in walking on the planet amongst them. But scan data could provide information to be handed into biologists etc... a pretty card (artwork) is yours to keep in your ships data library, worth credits to researchers.

In a way, the data could be as simple as "The Hitch Hikers Guide" - an entry could indeed say "Mostly Harmless"!

Anyone for:

"This water planet seems to have a predominant population of intelligent creatures that resemble Jelly-Fish, they are communicating to us via magnetic pulses, but as yet their message is not understood. A digital repetitive phrase has been decoded which is [000010001111000011110100011101]. Our researchers may be interested and able to find provide information: Location Sol - Earth. Attached is a probe visualisation [PICTURE]. Orbiting the planet may provide further communications.

So, now you have added a "card" and have a mission on return to the bubble to get the information to researchers. Also you are encouraged to get up close and gather further data. I think this would make a massive improvement to the exploration activity.

FDEVS, pleeese.

You need to consider EVERY possible combination of things, starting with the greatest of Principles first:

1. Essence. Are they memic, harmonical, etheral, astral, electromagnetic or material? This is extremely important for what type of shapes and abilities are available to start with.
2. What are their physical shape and extents. This includes their event horizon of their abilities such as memic dimensionality and electromagnetic range over infinite time.
3. What are their detailed shape and mechanical ability to influence each of the major essences. Such as: What type of matter is their body describing? Viscosity, electromagnetic capacitans, dielectric permeability, resistance etc etc.
4. What are theirs social structure. How much power can they use at once single timepoint as a combined entitiy? What are their technological enhancement level. What type of ships or propagation do they use? How high level of energies do they have the capacity to control safely and with precision?
5.. and so on until you described them in full detail down to an arbitrary microscopic fragmentation level.

The amount of shapes alone would be in at least the millions, perhaps billions. However, most patterns and structures will self-extinct due to inefficiency and incompatibility to our reality. Others will flourish in our reality and make extreme evolution.
Also, the golden ratio prefer certain mechanical shapes for certain situational environments. Like Earth is perfect for a humanoid species to gain the upper hand, including its ability to handle materials with our hands on land. And so on...
