Buildings & Attractions We need more types of Trees

Your Feature Request / Idea
FORESTS WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF TREES THAT WOULD MAKE JWE MORE COLORFUL AND UNIQUE IN LOOK,AS WELL AS A NATURAL FOOD SOURCE FOR SAUROPODS AND MEDIUM SIZED DINOSAURS. My list of FORESTS trees for Frontier to consider putting into the game for Terrain editing

Redwood Trees
Giant Saquoias Trees
Dragon blood trees
Bamboo trees
Cherry Trees
Ta Prohm trees
Bristlecone Pine trees
Blue Jacaranda trees
Joshua Trees
Acacia Trees
Baobab Trees
Wisteria Trees
Japanese Maple Trees
Avenue du Baobab Trees
Monkey puzzle Trees
Antarctic beech Trees
Bald Cypress trees
Banyan Trees
Eucalyptus trees
Northern Red Oak trees
Swamp Spanish Oak trees
Palm Tree's
Mesquite Trees
Pinon Trees
Pinyon pine Trees
Conifer trees
Cupressaceae Trees
Coast Redwood trees

P.S. we also need rocks or boulders to add to the decoration of the park exhibits, small medium large extra-large four sizes. Plus it would be cool to see the Raptors climbing on them as well as small dinosaurs hiding around them so predatory dinosaurs can't get to them.

Agreed other tree's should be implimented.

sonia Antarctica tree fern
coast redwood tree
pine needle tree
Date palms
Cyatheales
pinus jeffreyi

would probally be the best choices for this game and any dinosaur style background as they are some of the oldest styled tree's in the world.

Yes Agreed there needs to be more color don't you think? not to mention they should add trees that could also be a natural food source for sauropods and possibly medium sized dinosaurs. But all in all I think you have a fantastic list four other tree species to add to the game.

Yeah agree absolutely, it's difficult to add colour as flowers did come until later on. though redwood tree's would bring the redness, and Pine tree's would bring a much darker and lush green to the game, and add the thickness that most tree's in the game don't have.

And I highly agree about the food source, Pine tree's most dinosaurs wouldn't go near, but something lush, soft and at a decent height like the sorna antartica would be great for the duckbill dino's.

the tree's that are currently in the game, are ideal for mamenchiasaurus and Brachiosaurus. But that behavioural trait would need to be incorparated and should be anyway even without improvement of the tree's

You read my mind brother because honestly I would love to see the sauropods each from the trees like he would see from Jurassic Park. I would love to see flowers in the trees I don't mind to wait for them at all. The redwood trees are a must

Definitely need more variety of the foliage... would love to be able to put down plants individually at some point, but for now I'd settle for tree brushes that planted different types of trees. Someone actually made a mock-up of what that would look like, with different buttons representing different plant types... wish I could remember where I saw it...

Been posted on this forum.

I suggested this in another tread an option for single tree placement would be nice to cover the ugly gaps that sometimes appear between buildings where the normal tree placement just dont work those gaps really look ugly and empty at times

I noticed that there are a lot of ugly gaps that are left behind and refused to be filled in by trees because honestly that needs to be fixed as well when it comes to editing

I have to admit that is true that is very true they do have to stick with trees we see in the lost world and all that is Cannon it would be cool to see some new trees added to the terrain editing tools

On top of that, recycling all the same foliage types seen on every other island makes the first reveal of Sorna (in-game) pretty underwhelming since we ended up with more or less another map with a shape being the only thing that distinguishes it from the other islands.

If they were going to wow us with Sorna, we should have gotten this:

I made all of these mockups in Cities: Skylines for my Sorna post.

If it's going to take time and resources to make something like this, then I'd say use the time and resources.
Once they manage to work in adding new trees and bush-like foliage, they could use it as the foundation for working in the other optics of this thread.

They're beautiful images and also I would love to see a huge Horizon to build a natural Preserve on Isla Sorna. I would love to see this in the game a huge Horizon of wilderness to build on or to create a natural Preserve. However this is really awesome of a wishlist my friend. (Radical Edward2)

great thread! I am really hoping they are working on a decoration update right now. More than anything I have been wanting to make an arid african theme with acacia trees.

Wouldn't it be cool to see Brachiosaurus standing on its hind feet and eating from the trees like how we see in Jurassic Park? I think it would be awesome to see sauropods that can stand on its hind legs and start eating from trees that are so tall like that.
