We need some new ships....

Sigh. I was just looking at the fleet roster on INARA as I'm in the mood to engineer a new ship.

As I poured over the choices, I realized that I either: already own the ship, had owned and sold the ship or flat out rejected a ship as a contender based on various reasons.

I sure hope we get some new choices when Odyssey drops. Please.

Unlikely i think. More likely is new SRVs (which we had hints of).

There are a couple of threads going on in Dangerous Discussion about the panther clipper as well. I think that is even less likely than some other ships.

My preferences for new ships:

Tiger Trader - Asp on steroids
Imperial Explorer - because its a Star Trek rip off
Gecko - including the reverse thrusters that are stronger than the primary thrusters. The first ship to be designed around reverskii!!!

I think there needs to be a medium ship that can cary more cargo than the python, and also a medium passenger ship that carries more pax than a python

It WOULD be nice if it would sit on a medium pad, get a fancy chromed Keurig n a mug that wont spill, some Spotted D1kk, and stay sexy as hell. It looks damned good in an iridescent paintjob and ive always wanted one but that need for large pad has stopped me cold. I love my Krait MK II- Spaaaace Ghoooost!-, however.

This is what i have been wanting for a while. To be able to fit a smal ship in my anaconda or vette. Not just a fighter jet. I want to fly in a system park my vette behind a moon and launch my smaller size ship like a viper or something and do missions.

One simple solution to what a lot of people want (more ship options/flexibility) would be to make the SLF landable on planet surfaces. I mean, once Odyssey launches you'll be able to get out of the fighter and do some on foot things, rather than need to use the srv. OK, there's understandably no cargo space, but if they add comp scanner and data scanner to fighters...
