We need the King Cobra and Spitting Cobra

How about...

Aren't there at least 3 ships supposedly coming out sometime this aeon? (Type-10, Chieftain and Krait)...

... how about we wait for these first before we throw anything else in the extreme-slow-cooker?

You mean T10, Krait and 4 alliance ships including the Chieftain? :)

ive flown one for the last 2 weeks.. gotta say, it feels like Elite easy mode.. :p

:D My thoughts exactly...

OP: the Mk IV Cobra was absolutely panned by just about everyone for not being a Cobra III, cheat mode. I like the big girl, I think the compromises work well, but I'm in the minority. I suspect your combat Cobras would face a similar reaction- the Cobra's speed and versatility are well balanced by it's size. If you want something bigger and harder hitting, FD will take away something else to compensate and balance the new ship. That balancing probably wouldn't go down particularly well with the majority of the player base.
Good luck with your suggestions, I'd buy both if they were ever made available, but don't get your hopes up for them entering the game, or being dramatically better than anything in their class even if they do.

For me the Cobra Mk IV is what the Mk III should have been in this game, a true jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none.

Mk3 : master of all trade
Mk4 : master of none

HAHAHAHA!

God, you could not be more wrong if you tried.

Mk4.

- Most hardpoints of all small ships
- Most cargo capacity of all small ships
- Most internal space for full fledged mining of all small ships
- Most "complete" exploration ships of small ships (can fit EVERYTHING for exploration unlike any other small ship)

The ONLY thing it lack is the speed and above average jump range.

And the Mk3 has been surpassed by the Dolphin in trade due to both speed being similar but longer jump range and more cargo.

I have to agree with that. It's actually Mk.III who is "jack of all trades, master or none". :)
(Plus I'm a big Mk.IV fanboy. :D)

Yup me too.

I think it was too punished in overall speed, im ok with the limited jump range but maneuverability and top speed is horrible. Same with the Asp Scout that is a medium ship with no perks to speak of at all.
