We want NOSE ART. Don't we?

I suggest adding a nose art feature so we can personalize the graphics on our ships to a limited extent.

The nose art would be propagated only in the local instance. Bandwidth requirements would not be much.

Set reasonable limits on nose art size, whatever's appropriate for the ship model. Whatever that may be.

And it doesn't have to be restricted to the nose of the ship, of course. What works on one ship may not work well on another.

Why limit it to the nose of the ship? Why not go all in and allow players to resize the art and put it anywhere on their ship? War Thunder does a good job of this (and they allow custom skins that can only be seen by the user).

One quick question though. How would we get said (nose) art?
a) Art could be uploaded to the game by players. These would need to be moderated first. After experiencing chat moderation in game, good luck with that.
b) Art could be included in the game files and chosen from a menu. I hope you like micro transactions.

I really want to see nose art, but I doubt we will get it in the near future.

Provide spaces on the ship for user-definable artwork which does not exceed the space and bandwidth constraints.

As for "approval" work on the simple principle of "report this commander's nose art as offensive" which would then be subject to review.
This way only those that are objectionable will be subject to review, which greatly decreases the workload vs. having every piece pre-approved before you can use it.
