We want this game to be EVE but piloting your ships!!!

To all those people who're trying to implement EVE features here (some are good, some not so much), more than one person has pretty much said when told 'Well go play EVE...':

No because i like to fly my ship the way ed flies it

Wouldn't it be easier to insist that EVE go twitch-based ala Valkyrie rather than have this totally different game become EVE but flying your ship?

PS. And with their monthly subscriptions, they have much more money available for that than we do

Maybe...but they need to get it released first before we can make that call.

I really like what I've seen coming out from their panels at PAX South though!!
