weak signal 702.83LY from sol

on my way home i found a system with 68 bodies so decided to surface scan them.
I stumbled over a weak signal source and went to investigate.

found the remains of a clipper and what looks like a fed ship maybe an anaconda with toxic waist, the remains of a battle 702.83LY from sol.
i just find it odd

i agree, would have been a good payout.
or what a space walk and going over there to figure out what went down

They were on an exploration expedition and someone went bonkers, blew them all up.

A sneaky space critter got them during a break.

It's a mystery and definitely odd. But I don't think it is "unrealistic" if that is your meaning. Surely there are accidents, combat, violent loners with ill tempers, deranged or mentally ill pilots, and even a bit of unethical, piratical explorers out there that might steal another's exploration data and destroy the evidence.

If you think it is a bug, report it. But maybe I misread your "tone" as that is hard to put into short posts.

I agree that salvage has to be an option at some stage.

However: This could be just some poor explorer, who run out of luck. Well, not so poor; looks like a clipper to me. Maybe the weak signal is a trap and it's the bad guys day off. Looks very sad; way out there.
