Wealthiest CMDR?

Let's face it, the game is mostly about the grind, be it rank or credits. I for one, love the grind - it gives a sense of progression.

Whit credits being so sought after, having much of it gives a certain prestige to it, just like in real life. Most people have heard of Forbes "richest people" list.

So who is the wealthies CMDR out there? Share your asset balance and toss in a screen dump with the proof.

I'll start: 680,810,540 cr.

Well not all like the grind, and the constant need to earn credits
After 800hrs i have the big ships, over 600m in the bank, credits or grind means nothing now, and i have tried pretty much most things.
Hence i don't play too much these days, my advice, take your time, credits don't mean as much as you at first think they do.

I'd say it is more self-determined goal orientated game. Grind = no fun = stop playing.
.
My goal was a simple 'one of each ship in the garage' which I'm up-to-date on.
Triple Elite is probably a common goal. I'll probably get the Trade and Combat Elite's, but unless Exploring becomes far more than jump-honk-jump I doubt I'll bother with that as landing on planets and driving around is fun, but doesn't impact your rank much.
.
As you were mainly asking for a balance, credit wise, I have around 2.3 Billion in assets and around 0.4 Billion in actual credits.
Cant be bothered with a screen shot for something so trivial and there are plenty of players with far more than this.

Edward Lewis, he has about 60-70 billion cr. :O:O:O:O

He is the community manager for Frontier, so he might have cheated:p.

I have seen multiple people on these forums post about having 2 billion cr as cash + their assets (Anacondas and other ships). I would say that player with less than 1 billion cr (1 000 000 000 cr) isn't even close to being rich.

I'm far from being the wealthiest commander...

I believe I've seen videos on YouTube with commanders having some pretty decent billion credits in their accounts... please don't be shy and share your good status with us...

As for me, although I don't care that much about creds now (I have 585 M credits), my real pain is going up in the Empire navy...

I currently have 1.8 billion and I know there's plenty of players richer than me. There's definitely players who have maxed out the credit counter on the right hand screen so that it just shows 9,999,999,999. I'm still having great fun in the game, because believe it or not there's still plenty of stuff I don't own. A completely A rated cutter is almost a billion for example and I'm still working on it :) I mainly play the game for PVP so I like to get as much money as I can in case new features come out that affect PVP and I need to buy new shineys in a hurry :)

Due to the various exploits and bugs, having money is by no means "prestigious". Similarly some of the ranks have also lost meaning. Combat with the cap ship camping, trading with robigo runs and all of the things that came before and will come after. The only true things that have "prestige" are exploration and military rank. So far those have remained untouched by game breaking bugs and "grinding" is pretty much the only way to advance them.

I am far from the wealthiest @

I've seen someone with 9,999,999,999 in assets in a screen grab before.

Not quite true of military, there used to be a sort of exploit where you could get capital ships to kill everything for you and then just harvest ship after ship at 10% hull.. A bunch of people became elite doing that.. And then explorers talk about "neutron star farming"... which sounds like the dullest thing since sitting in Tun logging in and out of the game...

Remember folks, its a game, NOT a competition.

Says you ;-) I don't think I've ever played a game that wasn't a competition.

EDIT: Oh fine yes I've played solitaire :) Although even then I like to think I'm competing with my self...

Code/SDC/cosmic state are richest clans. Particularly itchy nipples (~15bil 60 mil/hour) ^^

Faction military rank not pilots federation combat rank. As far as I know cap ship farming was just for credits/combat rank. It didn't do any more than the usual rep gain for the faction which you still had to go do missions to progress anyway. Charity missions were about the only thing I could think of but even that is still a test of patience and willpower.....and how many tabs you have open on your other monitor.

.
Game or competition in this type of game is just a matter of perspective.
.
I have achieved the goal I set, but I have no feeling of having beaten/won the game or beaten anyone else.
.
If you are into PvP, against similarly minded folks in similar combat ships (not the glorious trader turkey-shoot, oh how brave!) then its more of a competition for you.
If you are just chasing the stats then that is purely a matter of time because skill only affects how long max ranks/credits will take, not weather they are achievable.

That's insane. I wish I had the time to at least get somewhere decent. I've been in since Beta and I'm only hovering around 250 mil in assets. I really only play for an hour or so a couple times a week. I think the longest I've gone consecutively playing is maybe 3 hours, but after that my eyes start to burn, my joints start to ache, and/or I get bored. Hmm... maybe I'm just getting old.
