Weapon and Module Idea Thread

I had a few random, late night ideas about some extra modules, and weapons, I figured I'd share them.
And start a thread, just for weapon and module ideas, save opening loads of other threads!
Then maybe FD might look in on it!

Ok, here goes!

[Weapons]
Rapid Fire Particle Accelerator - Rather than fire one big ball of ... Blue? It fires smaller shots, more often. Overall DPS is the same, just looks different. Fixed Only.

Rapid Fire Railgun - Class 2 and up only. 2 (or more) Class 1 railguns strapped together, only firing in sequence. Fixed Only.

EMP Beam / Limpet, not sure about what, or how it works. But a weapon to harmlessly and temporarily disable a ships system would be useful.

[Armor]
Nano-Weave Armour. Self repairing! Will only begin working while not taking hull damage.
Comes in lightweight, reinforced, and military variants. Slightly weaker than regular armour, and much more expensive, also requires power. Does not repair modules.

Feel free too add whatever, or discuss my ideas!
 
From my personal opinion and observations, it seems like Frontier implemented the foundational elements of ship modules, and ONLY the foundational elements. Besides adding in some larger weapons, which are much needed, I'm under the impression that our crafting will actually modify our weapons in a dramatic way.

A pulse laser could be modified, through crafting, to be a "repeater", if you will, a fast rapid particle or laser weapon.

The groundwork is there, and the Frontier guys/gals play other games as well Im sure, so they no doubt have a long list of personal ideas of their own they'd like to see in the game. I think they've simply left these specialized types of weapons to be the result of crafting. Which is A-OK in my book!
