Weapon arrays: the more hardpoints carry an emitter, the more powerful the weapon

I was thinking it would be interesting to have a new energy weapon whose damage output is based on number of installed components on your ship.

For example, "emitters" could be equipped to hardpoints, and maybe there could also be "amplifier" and "capacitor" components which could be equipped to internal slots or utilities and modify things like area of effect, range, power draw, etc.

My thought is that the weapon could cause rapid heat buildup in the target(s), and that heat rise could multiply based on number of installed array components in the attacking ship.

Maybe this could work with corrosive damage also, or some kind of overall DPS that randomly applies to modules and hull.

Things that directly benifit larger vessels and only those should simply not be added. They don't need these extra edges.

If anything the larger vessels, if updated further, need serious reductions, not extra buffs. Limit SCB modules and Boosters for example. 1 SCB per ship, 5 skill boosters, no more. Hard capped.
