Weapon convergence

This is not a problem in some ships. In others, like the Cobra, it is a big issue for me. I have been tinkering with weapon placement and have found that gimballed weaps on the rear ventral hardpoints are almost impossible to use because they cannot traverse up at all. So, I put my beloved multicannons up top where they have an unrestricted field of fire. This leaves me with my energy weaps (currently beam lasers) on the ventral hardpoints. The problem is they are spaced so far apart that it is not possible to get them both to hit any target unless at point blank range.

Devs, pretty please, allow us some weapon convergence setting to create an ideal "meeting point" for these hardpoints.

This is the nature of the game though. Different ship designs are better than others for hard point placement and what tech you can realistically place there. I use gimballed laser weapons on the top leaving missiles/torpedoes/scanners/defensive tech/etc at the bottom for those reasons on my Cobra.

No one ship design is ideal for everything and that is a great thing as otherwise we'd all eventually be flying the same ship and how dull would that be?

I don't have one but the Asp appears to have it all on paper but when you look deeper you find that it is not as manoeuvrable as the Cobra, not as fast (generally) and costs a fortune to repair.

I could use missiles on those ventral hardpoints, but I think they are a cheap tactic, and I hate paying for reloads as it is. I think what I will do is assign the beam lasers to separate buttons and shoot the appropriate one... now that will take some skill, but I can do it!
