Ships Weapon Power Distribution

I don't know if I can translate the question correctly.

I've heard that filling the weapon distributor affects the overheating of the gun.
Is this true ?

You could of course read the manual (link on your launcher)....

WEP ostensibly represents weapon cooling, which in turn determines how long weapons can be fired before displaying "overheat" and ceasing to shoot, but I don't think this is what SergMx was talking about.

Effective weapon thermal load of weapons increases as the capacitor is drained. For example, firing the same weapon, going from 50 to 0% WEP will increase ship temperature much more than going from 100% to 50% will. I don't think this is mentioned in the manual.

Thank you all. I asked to see if I was lost.

I've recently been turning the distributor around. The numbers I'm writing are approximate.
6A distributor pumped to 5 nuts.
50 volumetric, charge 7.
6A guardian distributor
30 volume, 6.8 charge.

It turns out that such a distributor will be less warm to the gun?

Ship temperature will increase less when emptying the WEP cap by a given MJ on the distributor with higher capacity.

Regardless, a G5 fast charge distributor is almost universally better than a Guardian distributor, except for that 4% increase to PP output the guardian distributor provides.

I must be writing in a complicated way.
The Distributor of the Guardian is just an example.
50% of the bar at 50 and at 30 are different numbers.
If the charge is 7, where will it be faster than 50% ?

That's if you consider the distributor complete. In combat it is more often counted from a discharged distributor.
And the temperature will rise more after discharging the capacity less than 50% because at the same charge 17 will reach faster than 22.
Power Distributer 6A
1. Default = WEP 50MJ / 5.2 MW (50% = 25MJ)
2. 5 chrge = WEP 45.6MJ / 7.8 MW (50% = 22,8MJ)
3. Guardian = WEP 35MJ / 7.3 MW (50% = 17.5MJ)

If you are constantly bottoming out the distributor, this can be the case.

However, if you have any modicum of trigger discipline, you want the G5 6A over the Guardian.
