Newcomer / Intro Weapons Exchange Signal. Huh??

I was in Phiagre System when I noticed a Weapons Exchange signal (similar to those of USS, Strong Signal Source, WSS, etc.). What's that?!
So I dropped in and was greeted by 3 Lakon Type-9 transporters.

Okay...
"Greetings... blah..blah... we exchange weapons...bla, blah... we've been supporting the war since 3610."

To kill or not to kill. I decided the latter. Is there a mission that requires us to hunt down these transporters? Or that they are just there purely to exchange weapons? If so, how does one do that?

I guess this is something for pirates who can rob those ships if they want to. But I'm not too sure about it.

I think if you transport battle weapons to it, you`ll gain a fat amount of creds

Kinda of like seeking luxuries ... i think.

Weapons Exchange Signal. That's pretty good. I can see the ways this is going - lots of different signal types picked up by sensors.

Tried taking them some battle weapons. The profit was not inspiring. Cant remember what it was, but nothing to make me rush off for my Clipper Trader.
