Newcomer / Intro Weapons HUD management

Is there a way to cycle on and off the Weapons and Loadouts Hud info?

Lots of weapons equals a cluttered forward view that would be nice to get rid of until needed.

Thanks.

maybe a screen shot of what you mean would help.

weapons don't appear on the HUD until you deploy them, which seems to be exactly what you are asking for. so that's left me a little confused as to what it is you actually want.

What I am persistently seeing is an additional HUD screen right in the center of my forward view that has informations like the number of chaff loads, number of point defence loads, number of shield cell loads, etc. etc.

The weapons HUD display is on top of that, also, and adds weapons deployment infos when the weapons are deployed.

Is there any way to cycle all of this clutter off in addition to the weapons? Or am I stuck with my forward view cluttered up?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if shield cells and chaff -always show-. Try making one of your firegroups only weapons and keep that one selected but not deployed because weapons wont show if not deployed, but I've noticed some of the auxiliary things will (like shield cells).
EDIT: Also, are you talking about super cruise or normal flight?
EDIT2: Both shield cells and chaff don't need assigned to a firegroup to function if you bind keys directly to them. If you have room to do so I suggest doing it, as that will take them off your HUD for good.
EDIT3: Just tested, the solution I suggested works for me at least, I don't see the shield cells I have unless they're in the firegroup I have selected (whether it's deployed or not).
