Horizons Weapons not firing?

I have tried a search but found nothing that can assist me.
I have recently purchased an Anaconda and fitted it out with a nice big bean laser and a couple of smaller ones, but I can't get them to fire... tried all things, no power issues, I can use the same button (left hand mouse) to fire the scanner and mining lasers (all on different allocations) so any ideas?

Are they gimballed, fixed or turreted? What mount points are they on? The Anaconda is very long and the nose protrudes. This means anything mounted on the bottom of the ship will not get a target on anything significantly above the nose.

Do you get the "red cross" targetting cross hair when they deploy, or nothing at all?

They are all Turretted, and allocated in the tabs.... the point about position is a good one... can remember at hand and no where near any place that has a dock to check easily....
