for over a week now I have noticed there has been almost no activity on this part of the forum, so here is a fun post to spice things up!
If you had a weapon/ module design (could be simple or outrageous
) that could create a significant advantage in the Thargoid war, what would it/they be?
Mine would be;
-AX Pack hound missile (seeker of course
)- with more damage than gauss per shot ( 64 as opposed to 38.5 according to ED wiki) these would make potent weapons at exerting hearts on even the toughest of Thargoids, being pack hounds, their DPS would also be significantly higher, at the cost of chewing ammo pretty quick.
- Size 4 Gauss- a little outrageous I know, but I have always had a strange love for giant Si-fi Rail guns, this would bring a very big smile to my face! it would obviously need an internal heatsink/vent to disperse heat to prevent ships from boiling using it.
-Capitol AX Ships- Standard capitol outfitted with AX protection and armaments, numerous Shutdown neutralisers installed to crucial modules, Guardian Gauss and AX multi's instead of the standard rail cannon and multi cannons on the basic ships. oh, and it deploys guardian fighters for the extra kick. in essence, this would allow for Thargoid CZ scenarios and extremally epic battle scenes!!! catch is that all kills should be reduced by 1/2-3/4 to accommodate for the support and not follow the donkey system that exists currently with capitol ships in CZ (where you get almost no kill rewards if you are in proximity).
-Pacifier shard cannon- Ultimate weapon to win the war! it's range, damage and spread would chew through almost all types of Thargoids with ease! would be very fun to use and effective indeed!
