Weather Effects

how about if when we are designing a building it has an option for "closed" roof or "open roof" and that way its not a matter of selecting each individual piece, but just picking a specific building and saying the whole building should block the rain, while others dont. Only walls/roofs should block rain IMO, trees and other scenery should not

Yea that could work. There are lots of ways it could work, but all are a compromise in some way. I suppose another way would be to only show wet ground in exposed areas. That could be calculated just once, as opposed to continuously throughout the time it's raining.

Creaper's suggestion sounds logical, i'm no game designer so i'm just speculating of course, if the devs could find a way to work such a feature into the game, would add to the realism so much.

I hope weather gets added because it will create an extra challenge to the management side of the game. If it's wet, there will be less people coming into the park and riding some of the rides, which means less money made.
It doesn't have to be super complicated to make me satisfied. I will be happy as long as the weather effects which rides people want to go on

I hope there is weather too for reasons already pointed out in previous posts. I loved making an extra profit from the umbrella shop when it rained. It would be a good game dynamic that could alter how people behave also. Some would continue and not let it bother them, others could head straight for a brolly shop or restaurant or coffee shop if included later on. Who knows what Frontier will have instore for us at final, or with future DLC. I can't wait to find out.

I would actually like to see a weather feature, and I would like to control it. Rainy, stormy, windy, hot, cloudy, humid, cold... I would also like to see the guests react to this weather. So if it's hot, most of the peeps will wear shorts and shorts sleeve shirts. If it's raining, people will wear thick jackets or ponchos, instead of just using umbrellas like in RCT3, but the guests in Planet Coaster can buy umbrellas, as well.
