Website is awesome!

I just stopped by the main website (which I don't normally do much) and I have to say I am incredibly impressed with the slow-mo style stopmotion banner that plays at the top of the page.
It's really good.
Props! :D

I have to agree. The website is pretty awesome. Took my work PC a little while to load it up though haha. I was also impressed the first time I saw the store. They have some of the best looking merchandise I've seen (as far as video games are concerned). I'm a huge collector of useless junk, so I want pretty much all of it. :D

This is the video, the visuals, sound effects, music - amazing! :)

I love this video, too.
It is not only very impressive and well made by its own rights - I thougth it was very toung in cheeks, when I first saw it. Does anybody remember the public outcry, when the trailer before this one went live? Despite the fact that it was clearly a (well made) teaser film, so many people complained about its "missleading content" and "false advertising" due to its fast cuts and high-speed combat scenes.

I laughed so hard, when I watched this slow-mo trailer and thought to myself: "Well payed, FD, well played!" :D

But, as mentioned above: even if there was no irony involved at all, the trailer is awesome and deserves all praise!

The website is nice it has a science fiction vibe. I recon add artwork to Galnet news and a wiki about Elite and the galaxy.

Ben, you worked out which ship and set up yet?

Arry.

The "plan" is dependent on 1.3 and a time constraint... so it might happen in beta rather than in live.

Right now I've been doing the smuggling CG in an anaconda. Only wrote one off... got distracted by the kettle (it was pulling faces at me and pointing!). So, iI'm working up an Anaconda smuggling build. Don't want to side track this thread.

OK, never seen an Anaconda that can sneak up anywhere, but if it works, great. I was reading your other posts on the subject and thinking that beating the scan is the key. Dose working from just outposts count?

Arry.

Sneaking might not be the aim to certain styles of smuggling. All that matters is not getting scanned.

Python + Outposts = All good :)

Now, Ben. We all agree that bringing black market goods to an outpost is not really smuggling! That's just trading with an alternate market!

To the OP...The web developers for this game are making the out of game information hunting game better and better.

I would like to see some connection of the wiki in game...even just a web call to your browser with a /w command in the chat bar, ala Guild Wars.

Well I guess I'll just have to make all those credits, by being an 'alternative market trader' then?

Arry.
