I've added a sanity filter to the Insane Ship Name Generator.

Also CMDR Listeri suggested another addition to patterns, that of forcing a word.

http://shipnames.azurewebsites.net/

Patterns are formed from the parts of speech listed on the site.

Words can be forced with square brackets.

eg.

[David's] A N

Will output "David's" followed by a random adjective and noun.

You can also link straight to patterns with a particular sanity limit set. Eg:

http://shipnames.azurewebsites.net/?pattern=T+A+N+[of]+[Cambridge]&limit=5

Using the sanity filter you can progressively exclude less used words from the results.
