01 - cleonymus - A day in the docks
A simple tune up to a standard cobra had gone wrong,
The engines ran smoothly, before he drained the oil, changed the manifold settings, adjusted all the subsystems, re-oiled and re-stared the engines. Now there was an annoying drone from the exhausts.
Stripping them had disproved that source of the noise, which moved around the engines as he gradually stripped and rebuilt each system in the bay.
24 hours later, and operating on coffee and stims, he finally called the commander to explain the problem.
The comms burped and the drone stopped.
"You woke me up, can I disembark now?".

'Where you off to?'
'Just popping out to explore our new sector love', said Jane, setting off for the hangar, 'do you need anything?'
'Aye, pick me up some gin. My last bottle got smashed during last night's interdiction. Filthy Truckers. You gonna be long?'
'Nah, Hutton's only a couple of systems over apparently. You got enough meds? I shouldn't be longer than a few days.'
'Yeah, enough for today and tomorrow. After that I'll need a top up.'
'Don't worry, I'm only going for your meds and to pick up our free Anaconda and I'll be right back...'

05 - Frank - Division Of Labour
Jane dodged a missile. "Are you sure you don't want to join the fun, sir?"
"You enjoy yourself. We'll split the bounties 10/90. After all, I am the one paying for the ships and the bullets."
Jane resented working for her boss. He floated lazily all day watching holovids while she was the one killing pirates. She smirked when a wing of Pythons took an interest in his Anaconda and quickly stripped his shield.
She coldly and calmly watched a salvo of missiles rocket their way towards his crippled ship before she remembered where her physical body was located... Telepresence!
06 - Futuristic Kung Fu - Lazy Boy
Commander Eff Kayef sat in his Cobra, pondering what he would do next. He hadn't flown for awhile, not because he couldn't, but because he had not been able to gather enough willpower. After all, space was dangerous. There were pirates, unforgiving Feds, space loaches… It was so much simpler to stay at the station, wasting credits on food and an ever growing parking fee.
As he took off, he felt the lack of energy return. He barely made it to the asteroid belt before he fell asleep in his pilot's chair.
In space, no one can hear you snore.
