Yea just wondering how many times a week they do "weekly maintenance". This is twice this week and it never is done when its says its supposed to be. This true for everyone?

Once every Thursday. 7th May was an update to fix bugs and introduce the Python Mk-2.
Weekly maintenance is always Thursday mornings. I think 8:00 UTC.
The other offline period this week was for update 18.04, which was given notice in the forums, Facebook, twitter and Instagram.

umm... in my experience it's almost always back BEFORE they say it's supposed to be. the launcher won't always say so, but in game it's usually back sooner.
Weekly maintenance is exactly once a week on Thursdays. This one does seem to have run unusually long.
Upgrade maintenance is separate to that (it doesn't apply the weekly "end of cycle" changes to Powerplay, Thargoids, Fleet Carriers, etc.) and is announced in the news section and on Twitter in advance.

There's only one weekly maintenance. It's usually reliably short. What happened this week was there was also an update, which is usually far less common.
Either way, today's maintenance is already taking too long. I have materials to grind for my SCO drives.
