Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Weekly Objectives for Cycle 122

Good morning Commanders!

I realise that everyone and his space dog has zipped off to the Pleiades to watch the Federation start a war with the unknowable, invincible Thargoids, but life continues as normal back here.

On a related note, we do not intend to prepare anything this week due to the imminent threat of alien invasion.

In the immortal words of Kent Brockman:

Anyway, please vote Consolidation as soon as possible.

It looks like our expansion is going to succeed, so good work there, too.

If you want to get an early start then as usual a few fortification targets are encouraged, for example Wulwula, Undines, Blod, Chankates, Rutujil or HIP 105391.

The finalised objectives will be posted on Reddit and copied here when ready once the numbers wizards have done their magic dance.

Never ever fortify: Tsanla, Chnumar, Daibo, Grebegus, HIP 10786, Kuki An, Kaukamal, Panganau. You will make baby Aisling cry.

To find out more about the primary Aisling Duval communication hub, our community Slack (including how to join), read the FAQ:

Fly safe, commanders!

the short reason is?

for the newbies regarding BGS, but who are interested? ....what is the short reason? because it is not endangered?

The very simplified answer: because those are loss making systems which we'd be better off without. If we don't fortify them, if we get pushed into Turmoil we would be able to put unfortified systems at risk of dropping first.

The introduction of the Consolidation mechanic has made this less likely to happen, but it's good to get into the habit of leaving it available.

And in the mean time, we'd rather commanders stayed focused on fortifying the systems we actually want to hold on to.

Feration controlloed?

I delivered programs at Wulwula, to fortyfied it......and i thought of doing some missions there to support A.D....but to my big surprise, the fontrolling faction is Federation? and there are no Empire factions there.....now what??

But as far as it's indicated Kuki An is viable to be fortified? it is in an orange state, and fortifying doesn't cost credits?

That is actually fine. If you wish to support the Princess in her controlled systems, you need to support the faction types as mentioned in the PP screens - co-operative, communist or confederacy.

Interestingly, due to a quirk in the game design, none of those factions comes in an imperial flavour.

I believe our supported faction in Wulwula is Edinia United, although I must admit I haven't checked recently.

Any controlled system can be fortified. But as you see, Kuki An is not a great system to own for us. Fortifying it costs credits, or time, or both - resources which could be better used elsewhere on a system that actually makes a decent profit rather than a loss.
