Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Weekly Objectives for Cycle 167

Good evening Commanders!

Everything went smoothly last cycle and we have avoided picking up Dalat.

For this cycle, it is important that we get the fortification done quickly and the consolidation vote up high as soon as possible.

So, vote now and fortify away!

To find out more about the primary Aisling Duval communication hub, our community Slack (including how to join), read the FAQ:

Fly safe, Commanders.

Hi Cori, me again. Sorry to be a pest.......

Noticed Lazdongand is under "expansion" and is also listed as "under threat". I looked it up on the map. It's waaaay out there so I already assumed its a "we don't want it" location before you posted. Opposition was pretty high earlier this morning, way high this evening. I already did the consolidation vote this morning.

Was Lazdongand suggested for expansion by players or is the BGS doing that? Also, how is the opposition done? Last week's "don't want" system failed but just for fun I went there in open to see who's bringing materials there. Might have been a time when no humans were on at the same time as me, but might also have been doing their work in solo.

As it happens, yes, Lazdongand is intentional. The idea was to get everyone focused on getting the fortification done first, though, which is why I didn't mention it. If you want to haul materials from it, please go ahead.

More generally, if we didn't want it, you can't oppose an expansion for the power you are pledged to. That's why we try to stop them at preparation stage. Any opposition of expansions has to be done by players pledged to another power.

Got it. I was confusing preparation with expansion. Just to clarify, you mentioned Lazdongand was intentional. Is that done by the game or by players (I was assuming the game)?

All power play activities - preparation, expansion, fortification, opposition and undermining - are done by players. There is no NPC involvement at all.

Understood. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
I'm 66 and I still learn something new every day. :)
