Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Weekly Objectives for Cycle 168

Good evening Commanders!

Sadly our attempted expansion did not work out (although it was always going to be a long shot with those triggers). Still, we managed to shift huge numbers of merits and the opponents were required to put in a truly staggering amount of effort to stop it, so from that point of view it's not all bad news.

For this cycle please start off by voting Consolidation as soon as you can to avoid burgering about with blockers later on, and commence fortification efforts in the usual way.

To find out more about the primary Aisling Duval communication hub, our community Slack (including how to join), read the FAQ:

Also, to keep an eye on our dynamic objectives list, which changes as the cycle progresses, please visit the webpage at https://trello.com/b/HBY3rRZR/aisling-duval

Fly safe, Commanders.

That system wasn't listed as an expansion target on Trello (and wasn't listed as a preparation target during the previous week), so I assumed it was a preparation "blocker" that we didn't want to expand. It didn't seem profitable considering its distance and fortification cost.

So I just did my usual fortification quota.

It would be better if the Trello page would say whether or not a system is just a blocker, and whether it should be expanded or not.

Believe me, that's fine. We wanted people focused on fortification; that expansion was very much a long shot anyway. If you were keeping an eye on the figures through the week you know exactly what we were up against. I'm honestly surprised it got as close as it did.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
