Weekly Objectives for Cycle 40
Hail, CMDRS!
What a bizarre cycle last week. In an effort to force us to take Chnumar, the fifth column switched tactics and fortified every single one of our control systems in an attempt to prevent us from maintaining turmoil. This resulted in a set of circumstances that are as baffling as they are absurd - Aisling loyalists were forced to undermine her control systems for the good of her economy, while the people hostile to the health of our Princess’s government were fortifying in order to damage our starting CC levels at the cycle’s conclusion. We can scarcely believe that’s how it had to work out, and we were there trying to stop it! We must also say a massive thank you to everyone who showed up to help make that happen - the determination of the Aisling CMDRs working as a community, and the many friends and allies we have made along the way, is truly inspiring to witness!
As a result of last week’s events, we lost Conii as a control system but blocked Chnumar and Madngela from expanding, which was the best thing we could have done in the circumstances to minimise damage to the power. We ended up narrowly coming out of turmoil with very low CC, which has hampered our potential choice of preparation systems this cycle. That said, there is always a best foot forward from where we are now, and we’ll do our utmost to ensure that we stay on that path.
As always, the following is a list of suggested actions that we feel pilots pledged in service to Aisling Duval should consider enacting in order to best serve the needs of her administration.

Primary Objective: Targeted Fortification
This week we would like to get ourselves up to around 160-175CC by the cycle’s end. We have already experienced heavy undermining of our valuable systems, so getting on top of this will be our primary focus for the cycle.

Secondary Objective: Preparation
With such low CC this cycle, there are no good preparation targets for us to secure. Instead, we have found a system that will use up all of our CC that we will be more readily able to deny in the Expansion phase next turn.

- Medium-pad outpost facilities only = Medium pad outpost starport system, but with planetary bases with large pads available to CMDRs with Horizons. The system will need to be pinged with a Discovery Scanner before these bases are discoverable.
