Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Weekly Objectives for Cycle 58

Good morning Commanders!

If things have gone to plan, we start this cycle in Turmoil again having successfully dumped two of our most loss-making, and therefore bad for our economy, systems: Shapsugabus and CD 68-29. Sadly someone fortified them so to be sure we have had to temporarily sacrifice the other two systems in Turmoil as well, Blod and Himardisc. Not an ideal situation, especially as Blod is my own area of operations, but the chance to dump Shap and 68 was just too good to pass up.

If it didn't actually work out that way then ... well, damn.

Prepare: no preparation this week. Turmoil

Expand: no preparation last week: Turmoil

That leaves fortification. Concentrate for now on our profitable systems, those that show as green on the Powerplay map. Suggestions: Kherthaje, Chankates, Bellaung, HIP 95256, HIP 105391.

As always this post will be updated once we see the actual state of things and the numbers wizards have performed their magic dance.

Never ever fortify: CD-68 29 (if still there), Clido Pi, Chnumar, Daibo, Grebegus, HIP 10786, Karsuki Ti, Kuki An, Lambda-1 Tucanae, Okua'gsa, Panganau, Shapsugabus (if still there). You will make baby Aisling cry.

Weekly Objectives for Cycle 58__________________________________________________
Hail, CMDRS!
We are back in turmoil this cycle after a successful System Scrap of two incredibly bad systems for Aisling. Shapsugabus and cd68 cost our economy approx 120cc. Scrapping these loss-making systems from our power was an incredible achievement. And we would like to thank all the Aisling cmdr's on the Aisling Slack, the Angels TS, and our Allies in Patreus and the White Templars for their valuable assistance!

WHY TURMOIL WAS A GOOD THING
In the immortal words of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - DON'T PANIC!
We are in turmoil this cycle; this was a deliberate, planned move organised by the Aisling Slack community in order to help strengthen our economy through the shedding of deficit systems. We have managed to scrap four systems last cycle. This will provide a boost to our economy once we stabilise.
The in-game descriptions do a terrible job of explaining this, but turmoil can under the right conditions be the best possible outcome for a faction, and this week's result is a perfect example of that. We can now fortify and stabilise our economy again after making it stronger after improving our starting CC balance and make our Power much more economically feasible for the future.

As always, the following are a list of suggested actions, assembled through the collaboration of the Aisling Duval community, that we feel will best serve the needs of our Princess' administration.

[h=1]Preparation: Not Possible[/h]We are in turmoil this week by design, and thus unable to prepare any systems.
Systems are Prepared by collecting Preparation Materials from any Aisling Duval Control System and delivering them to the target system.
__________________________________________________
[h=1]Expansion: Not Possible[/h]NO Expansions this cycle:
Systems are Expanded by collecting Expansion Materials from the system that is being Expanded, and delivering them to any Aisling Duval Control System.
= Medium pad outpost starport system, but with planetary bases with large pads available to CMDRs with Horizons. The system will either need to be pinged with a Discovery Scanner before these bases are discoverable, or the navigation beacon will need to be scanned on arrival.

[h=1]Fortification: Targeted Systems Only[/h]Click here to be taken to the Aisling Duval trello page where fortification and other cycle objectives are tracked and routinely updated by members of the community to ensure their accuracy.
If you do not wish to use the Trello, a static list of targets to fortify is provided below. Bear in mind that this list will not be updated routinely, and it is best to consult either the Trello or in-game to ensure that these systems have not already reached their fortification totals.
Please Fortify:

  • Kherthaje=
  • Chankates=
  • Conii -
  • Tsanla!
  • Djira!
  • HIP 95256
  • HIP 105391
  • Bellaung
  • HIP 114709
  • Aurawala^
  • Yan Musu
  • Cartoi
DO NOT FORTIFY ANY OTHER SYSTEMS UNLESS THESE OBJECTIVES ARE UPDATED TO SHOW OTHERWISE.
Systems are fortified by collecting fortification materials from Cubeo only and delivering them to the target system.
^ Medium-pad outpost facilities only
= Medium pad outpost starport system, but with planetary bases with large pads available to CMDRs with Horizons. The system will either need to be pinged with a Discovery Scanner before these bases are discoverable, or the navigation beacon will need to be scanned on arrival.
! This system is in Turmoil, and will not display accurate fortification figures until 1t of cargo is delivered to the station. Please ensure that you perform the 1t test, to make sure that they are not already fortified before handing off cargo.
Do not fortify any systems that are already at 100% fortification. Remember the One-Ton Test: Drop 1t of fortification materials at the station first, and check to see if the trigger has already been met. If it has, please find another system to fortify instead!
Please report your contributions to fortification values in the Reports field of the Aisling Duval Slack.

[h=1]Undermining/SCRAP Targets[/h]Please consult the AD Slack to see if there are any systems that are appropriate for Undermining/Opposing.

In all honesty, it's a bit ridiculous that this information is conflicting with what the game menus state. In addition, I just collected 10 media at Cubeo (first collection since last night) and tried to deliver them to Theta Octanis but couldn't, then tried to Doolona and I couldn't. This was before I read the post above where both of those systems are not in the suggested fortification list. Anyway, both systems are listed in the game as needing fortification, turn a profit, and both being under 100% fortified as of about an hour ago. I can't even do a drop test. Why can't I fortify? This is the second time I've had this problem.

Media Materials are preparation materials, not fortification.

But please try to stick to the suggested objectives; fortifying other places makes it hard for us to manage our CC properly.
