Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Weekly Objectives for Cycle 69

Good morning Commanders!

A fairly quiet week last week with the new beta up, although it does appear that some commanders have been preparing Undines. Unfortunately this system shares a large part of its potential sphere with the one the Kumo Crew are so desperate to regain, including Lusonda, and any attempt to expand even it if the preparation succeeded is likely to run into the same problems as that did.

If you want to get an early start when the servers come back up then a few fortification targets are encouraged, for example Blod, Chankates, Rutujil or HIP 105391.

The finalised objectives will be posted on Reddit and copied here when ready once the numbers wizards have done their magic dance.

Never ever fortify: Clido Pi, Chnumar, Daibo, Grebegus, HIP 10786, Karsuki Ti, Kuki An, Lambda-1 Tucanae, Okua'gsa, Panganau. You will make baby Aisling cry.

Fly safe, commanders.

Weekly Objectives for Cycle 69

Hail, CMDRS!

Cycle Objectives are still being debated, however unless new intelligence comes to light these are likely to be the final targets for the cycle. We appreciate your patience in the matter.

As always, the following is a list of suggested actions that, in collaboration with the Aisling Duval community, we feel will best serve the needs of our Princess' administration.

Systems are prepared by collecting Preparation Materials from any Aisling Duval Control System and delivering them to the target system.

We strongly advise not attempting to push either Expansion this cycle. Tau Saggittari was designed to waste our excess CC last cycle and has no strategic value to us, and Undines is both incredibly difficult to successfully expand and needlessly provocative to the Kumo Crew.
Whoever prepared it in the last cycle obviously wants to start trouble, but our opinion is that this one system is not worth the conflict it would bring, nor the billions of credits in materials that would be needed to fight for that Expansion on vaguely even footing. As always, people are free to act as they wish, but we implore our CMDRs to please leave it alone.

Systems are Expanded by collecting Expansion Materials from the system that is being Expanded, and delivering them to any Aisling Duval Control System.

[h=1]FORTIFICATION[/h]Click here to be taken to the Aisling Duval trello page where fortification and other cycle objectives are tracked and routinely updated by members of the community to ensure their accuracy.
If you do not wish to use the Trello, a static list of targets to fortify is provided below. Bear in mind that this list will not be updated routinely, and it is best to consult either the Trello or in-game to ensure that these systems have not already reached their fortification totals.

DO NOT FORTIFY ANY OTHER SYSTEMS UNLESS THESE OBJECTIVES ARE UPDATED TO SHOW OTHERWISE.
Systems are fortified by collecting Program (fortification) materials from Cubeo only and delivering them to the target system.
Do not fortify any systems that are already at 100% fortification. Remember the One-Ton Test: Drop 1t of fortification materials at the station first, and check to see if the trigger has already been met. If it has, please find another system to fortify instead!
Please report your contributions to fortification values in the Reports field of the Aisling Duval Slack. __________________________________________________
[h=1]UNDERMINING/SCRAP[/h]Please consult the AD Slack to see if there are any systems that are appropriate for Undermining/Opposing.

May I ask why we need to waste excess CC?
Also are the Kumo Crew a player or NPC group?
When we expand into a system and take control, I.E. Wulwula, why do the stations stay allied to the Federation?

Forgive the noob questions, still very new to Powerplay, been with Aisling for 2 Weeks now, Wuwula is my home.

The Kumo Crew are the Power headed by the Pirate King, Archon Delaine.

We need to spend excess CC on systems we won't get otherwise random grinders will spend it on systems that we can get but don't want because they actually make a loss, losing large amounts of CC each cycle.

Stations are controlled by minor factions, who can be Federation, Empire, Alliance or Independent. The allegiance of minor factions is completely separate from Power Play so a Federal faction can easily exist in a system which is currently controlled or exploited by an Imperial Power.

If you want to do missions in Aisling Bubbles make sure to take missions from factions that are

co-operative (=Broker)
confederacy ( Federation )
communism

since this 3 will help to lower the CC required for future fortification.

Noob here, just got into ED last week, and now pledged to Aisling.

I am now in Derrim System and in the Galaxy Map I noticed something like "Preparing by Aisling Duval 59,019/50". What do the numbers mean?

That means that AD commanders have delivered 59,019 units of Media Materials to Derrim this cycle. For preparations a minimum of 50 is needed to be successful - but there are also other considerations which is why we are so massively beyond that minimum (most importantly keeping it at the number one spot on our list of prepared systems, so the more supplies the better).

thanks for the quick reply :D

What else can I do to help preparation besides bringing Media?

Also I noticed that Derrim had a positive net income a few hours ago but is now in the red in terms of cc. Why is that?

No worries.

There is nothing else you can do for preparation, specifically. Cargo hauling is all it is .

I am not in-game at the moment so I can't see the map, but nothing should change with respect to PP until the cycle ticks over on Thursday. That said, be warned that the map is notoriously unreliable in several respects, Power Play information among them.
