Weird bug?

Hey I saved/exited while docked at a station in a particular system. I logged back in like two minutes later, only to see I am undocked...ok weird...then also I am ONE JUMP away from the system I was in,,,,


this ever happened to anyone?

It sounds as if the save failed, assuming that is that you ended up back along your journey. If not it sounds just weird!

I had something similar a long long time ago when the servers were playing up and although I had docked when I saved I ended up waiting to to hyperspace it from the previous location. But never had that since.

Log it and let the devs play with it.

Or probably the save failing like mentioned above. But my explanation is waay more fun.

well I am not making it up. THe rares I bought are still in my cargo, so I know the game realizes that I reached my destination, docked and bought the rares. I logged out and back in and there I was in space, (not in super cruise, but at 0 speed) and one system over from where I was.

Try it and see what happens to you. Dock. then immediately log, back to the launcher, then launch game and go. Also I was playing solo.

I'm not intending to mock you, just having fun. Certainly enough strange bugs around to not invalidate anyone's claims.

If your station doings were recorded but you still got pitched a system away it sounds like more than just a savefail. Was it even a system you were at previous to the "distortion"?

I don't remember, I didn't check. But I was happy it saved the transaction. Also I was flying about a 5 system route, so its possible it was the destination before. Going to try doing it again, this time without a transaction or anything, so nothing is lost if it was inclined to reverse any gains.
