Just in case anyone else gets the same problem I'll explain what happened to me.
Decided to jump in and upgrade from the 347.25 to 347.52. After I did this ED refused to work with the DK2. The display kept flickering between the desktop and the OR, occasionally showing the load screen on the OR but mostly not. Eventually it would corrupt the desktop so much that a restart was needed.
So I checked all the OR settings, and the display settings in NVidia Control Panel, everything looked fine. The OR screen demo worked fine. Restarted everything, tried again - same problem. Rolled back the driver, still no good. Spent the afternoon reinstalling ED, retrying with new and old drivers, nothing.
Eventually went back to look at display settings to be sure the custom resolution was still set. (I have a custom 1440p resolution set for super sampling). It was, but greyed out in the definition screen. Checked the tick box at the bottom to force the window to expose unsupported resolutions, and it lit up again. ED now starts just fine. Seems the driver install changed just that one setting, and subsequent roll backs and reinstalls left it switched off.
Hope this helps anyone else who gets similar problems.
