Weird moment

Was offering two probes and some meta alloys to my nervous friend, which it eagerly grabbed and proceeded to leave happily growling away.

I'm watching It open the regular hole in space then suddenly BOOM another alien ship drops in sending me tumbling out of control and it immediately EMPs me while following the first ship.

Wish I grabbed the video!

Also. The Thargoids are appearing friendly to me.
Interaction remains unchanged.

They're like ducks! Give food to one and all the others show up. Note to self: bring plenty of shiny alien trinkets to hand out upon reaching the Pleiades. At least until those fancy new missiles are available .

On that note, has anyone tried handing them some Guardian tech? I can't imagine that'd go well.
