Welcome Commander mission

Hi,

I've seen various people talk about the 'Welcome commander' mission which I'm assuming is a ease-you-in-gently tutorial mission. I didn't seem to get that mission...

I'm wondering if it's because I started the game with the horizons sidewinder, rather than the 'new commander' option...

It's easy to miss, to be fair. Go into the comms panel (default square and up on d-pad), then use the bumper buttons to go across to the second tab from the right. That's where mission-critical messages go.

I must say that if u begin the game, and mess all up, and don't finish the "welcome mission", and u want a fresh start and erase your cmdr, when u beggin again, u WON'T receive again the "welcome mission"

don't know if its a bug, but you loose 10000 cr easy

Not true. I restarted after making a complete horlicks of my first CMDR and still got the mission, though it did take a while to appear.

then it must be a bug, i restarted a couple of times to see if the mission appears, but nope, damn...well, now i dont care, already have 1M, but those early credit would have been a great help at the beginning

Yes in the grand scheme of things it's a drop in the ocean but a nice kickstarter.

Though as I said it did take quite a while to appear, I only noticed it because I happened to still be docked and fiddling about with stuff.

Never showed for me either, and I was on at midnight, and again last night.
For 10k it was nothing compared to the cargo missions at the time anyway!
