Welcome to Advance, Olympus station's news bulletin
Vital trade route to MarkI system closed
About one hundred trade executives, pilots and scientists gathered at a station-wide assembly meeting on Olympus yesterday. The item on issue was the route to MarkI, a planetary system along the main trade channels towards the most populated parts of the galaxy. The problem arose as mysterious engine malfunctions have plagued the ships traveling along the route, in some cases denying hyperspace access outside of the local system. A radar on-board a scout ship detected fragments of artificial matter running at high speed towards Olympus, which were reported as “filaments of energy” able to “constrain the ship navigation system to immediate return”. Physicists on Olympus link the cause to the increased stress that our Star has recently shown, as compressional waves make it slowly react with diffuse radiation clearly visible as bursts of increased light from the surface of the planet. As a precaution, the route was closed and only properly equipped military ships were allowed to maintain the crucial link with MarkI.
Exploration: Relict planets found across the outer rim of the Galaxy
Deep Space ships have returned from a decade long exploration beyond the boundaries of the frontier. The main discovery is the presence of several relict planets, originally inhabited but gone under unknown processes of devastating decay. The ships could not enter the hyperspace envelopes of those planets, as they were cut out from surrounding systems. Records detailing surface information and historical data related to the process of decay were seized by military authorities.
Defense: We are not safe because the menace is silent
Political leaders could read the tension from the hearts of civilians. It seems to many on our planet that the continuous and sudden bursts of energy on the disc of our Star means that something is going to happen soon. There is the fleeting idea of going through a silent revolution, something bigger than expected.

I suspend this project because outer space is something very stimulating but, to me, it is a confound. There is a lot in my contemporary experience that is based on space and planets, although it is tilted towards invasion and evil. It is difficult to make the point of a supernatural universe of good and nature when the mechanics of it for people into it are about the fun of it, not certainly issues of truth. It is also true that I am not safe in topics of outer space that hint at the background I lived in most part of my life. That is to say, that outer space remains a useful exercise, but never cross the road to my published imagination or be burned by it! It is very difficult to find anything not already touched by my imagination, and there is no way I can make new ideas coexist with what has already been “published” in my mind. I need to rest and to find a topic that was not already touched upon and develop new ideas with it. Talking about invasion is as risky as trying to discuss evil and its ways. I need to find safety and a safe haven as base for new ideas and interests, but I am fatigued by elaborating further on this project. I wonder if by sticking to the Frontier game it would be possible to avoid such confound. However, Frontier Dangerous may be a new and clean universe to deal with, being something successful after evil.
