It is good to have more players in such huge galaxy) I have 2800h + on PC version "i don't really want to know how much hours since that moment i have, omg it is scary to even think about" in this game, and will have even more later i gues. So you can totally see that something in this game was made very good.
This thing is a SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE. Yes, this is litteraly the best (absolut best) space you've ever see in your game history. There is litteraly nothing that can be close to Elite Dangerous space even by closest range. It is absolut best no doubt. It will be your first game you've ever see with a SPAAAAAAAAAACE been not like some of a background skybox, but a real engine fully believable world where you can see that star, and you can fly to it. Or you can see a nebula and also you can just fly close to it. This will be your first time, that you can finaly see the real vastness of space by yourself and you probably will be overwhelmed by this quite fast. The visuals and sound design are the best part of Elite Dangerous experience that game will share with you.
This game have one of the hardest control settings you've ever see before. And few hours in game you will always forget what this button is all about. It can and will be frustrating. Be ready for that.
The "learning curve" in Elite Dangerous is probably no less, but i personally think much more than anything else you saw even in DarkSouls series before. So be ready for that. This game can overwhelm you with this "learning curve" with no doubt. Don't even think that you see some hardcore s##t before. You probably don't. Sometimes it can be really frustrating for many reasons. This i whould adress to litteraly every aspect of a game. Not only combat.
This game will never forgive you for your mistakes. And will never hold your hand. It will be absolut don't give a damn about you. The whole galaxy don't give a damn who you are. But may be one day you can change this. But for moment you start the game, they will call you "nobody" and galaxy will know you as "nobody". What i want to say, that this is not the type of game where you can save galaxy. You are not a Commander Shepard. And your princess is in another castle. Be ready for that.
Story telling in this game to many ppl is no exist, and for others are the most strangest thing you ever see in game industry. This is litteraly feels like some experiment. Sometimes this can be frustrating, sometimes you can enjoy it. But everyone can say, that this is some really strange thing to be part of it. I can say only, that this type of story telling you never see in any game before in the whole industry. It is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Sometimes it is even frustrating. Basicaly it is not exactly what you whould expect from a game. It is more like a real time story. Very slow and very hard to participate in it. Litteraly a game in the game. So be ready for that. This is an expirience you never had before. This can be VERY frustrating.
This game have A LOT OF ISSUES (a s##t tonns of them). Most of them you will not understand even after 500h in it. That is how huge game can be. Some of them you will understand after may be few sessions.
But the most biggest issue of this game is P2P connection. And by issue i mean ISSUE.
There is also a lot of problem in gamedesign and gameplay. BE READY FOR THAT.
Also you should understand that PS4 players, Xbox players and PC player share same galaxy, but we can't play together. We can only affect the galaxy we play in. Which is same for everyone.
