Once, i made a promise.
I rallied the people to support a missunderstood hero and i promised to do the same after our hero was recognised for the greatness that he is.
Now that our beloved trash panda made it into the game its time to full fill that promise.
So here i present to you a stinky, aggressive gremlin, the face of short man syndrome, creator of the world, Partner in crime of the wolf and a miscivious trickster and robber.
Im talking ofcourse about the wolverine, an animal that has fascinated humans for aslong as we know them.
They are part of some of the oldest storys we know from the people of north america, featuring most of the time as a trickster and scoundrel, but also as the literal creator of the known world in one culture.
Forming the earth from mud and sticks that he didnt even aquired himself.
Nowadays in modern times they are best known from sport teams and the x-man hero, but why should they be in planet zoo?
Well they actually have quite a few reasons and unlike the underdog of my heart they actually are quite popular and with good reason.
They are the largest and arguably most widespread mustelid (the old world otter takes up a good fight though), being the last terrestrial apex predator from its ecosystems that isnt in the game yet and eventhough its the largest mustelid, they would fill the niche of a medium sized carnivore, fitting right in between the gap of the foxes and the wolfs, bears and big cats.
The little big agressive reason why they should be in the game would mostly be their massive range.
Just look at this bad boy, covering pretty much the entire non alpine taiga biome.
I honestly doubt i need to do much convincing here though, afterall the wolverine allready is quite popular with very obvious and lucrative reasons to be included as an unlikly cultural icon of rage, gluttony and the art of not giving a single damn.
