I have been looking for this star for some time now and posted a thread a few months back trying to find it. Since then I have done some more digging and with MB confirming which catalogues are being used (and his confirmation I had the right one) I finally tracked it down.
It was only just over 360Ly from my current location and so after a few days flying and scanning I finally managed to reach the system, known in the game as 22 Delta Monocerotis.
As I jumped into the system I was greeted by a Class A Blue-White star lighting up my cockpit
There wasn't anything else showing up on my system scan within 500Ls and so I spun my ship around and saw 2 distinct patches of space to go and investigate. The first and by far the brightest took me to the companion star, an amazingly bright Class F White star. So bright in fact the picture didn't come out too well and it really shows up my Cobra's dirty windscreen
The star has 3 planets orbiting it all of which are High Metal content planets
Then onto the final object a ringed Class Y Brown Dwarf that appears to just be hanging in space.
This star is orbited by 8 bodies, all of which are just Rocky Planets.
I have certainly visited more spectacular places in the game so far but, like my journey to the Pleiades Cluster, this one is special because it shows that genius of this game. You can find virtually any object in our Galaxy that you enjoy for one reason or another and then actually go and visit it in the game
So as always thank you so much FD for making this awesome game!
