Are Sarah's pirates here?

I think the RES sites are a symphony now. No stuttering, visually stunning, and the ship debris seems to last forever till it gently disperses floating away into the black.

Agreed! Like WOW,,awesome,,brilliant,, and I only played for a part of one mission but such an overall improvement :) and it downloaded in less than 10 minutes (although I did have the latest beta installed). Well done indeed! Quick refuel (dinner) and I'm back out there.

Graphics now are stunning....lighting in cockpit when near a white star are beautiful. Backgrounds now look fantastic.

Planets don't pop into existance all of a sudden anymore.... they gently fade into visibility as you approach them.

I suggest everybody try the combat tutorials again. I did and the Sidewinder face-off took me 20 minutes to beat! Those new npcs know how to fly!

Also: The small pulse lasers on the Sidewinder sound just like the good old Premium Beta lasers again! Woohoo! \o/

So you guys keep mentioning that the graphics look much better not that they ever looked bad, does this mean they did some kind graphical tweaks/optimizations?? any hits to FPS??

Really looking forward to the new sounds and these new graphics tonight!!!

Well they improved lighting and other stuff, and i got 20fps boost everywhere... ;)

I am very impressed. The graphics seem more vibrant and sharp in many areas and at the same time they are less demanding.
The sounds got a wonderful overhaul too.

It is too early for me to really judge, but so far I feel the Powerplay features add a wonderful layer of depth to Elite.

And all these numerous little improvements everywhere. It's a rush.
This game is getting better and better. I think I'm in love all over again.
When I played Frontier I could never have dreamed that one day it would get such a wonderful successor.

I strongly believe that.
Imagine when new dimensions get added to ED, like planetary landing, EVA, walking around ships and stations and FPA.

I dream of being able to enter an atmosphere and putting my ship down at some remote base, standing up stretching my legs, visit a contact at the base, get in a fight, flee my ship... stuff like that. The game will be more than cult. People will want to play the game forever. If FD can offer that I will say goodbye to real life :).

I am amazed about many things... i´ll maybe compile them later.. but now..
Wing of NPC´s interdicting.. for lulz sometimes...
NPC chatter in supercruise..
SDC got better... when it finds its sorta far from the station, it will boost closer!
Station announcements are back! And with more voice variations!

But con i found lately and maybe later it become annoying..
Ships in SC sound like subway train when slowing down or accelerating..

I rather like it.
I always new that subway trains use SC to get around.

Hits? The opposite. There is quite a substantial boost in overall performance in spite of the improvements in quality.

I'm looking forward do sticking the oculus on my face later and giving that a go.
