My internet has gone terribly slow and I'm unfortunately not able to play right now. So in the mean time please share with me your opinions and experiences with the new update! I want to know what you guys felt they improved on, how good or bad the new features are and what you hope and see happening from this point all the way to release! Thanks!

Thanks for this thread! I didn't think Gamma would be online this early in the day, so I wasn't planning on logging in just yet.
Weird ... this update seemed to be smaller and quicker than the past few. I expected it to be bigger.
I was in Wolf 359 last night, only then finding out that I couldn't get to Sol. I'm assuming we got wiped again, but this time I WILL get there. I want to see what touristy things they have there.

Looks good so far started in open play now getting 40+ FPS in station areas so huge improvement on BETA3.9 in my case ,but....server connection lost and now no play options
That sounds great! hopefully they return sometime soon. I Was hoping to get some exciting feedback.
Had a crack at a small first mission.....No issues ....Loving it so far

I have planned all along to be in the Aulin area and I had trade routes all ready to go, but now ED put me light years away from there. Not only that, instead of starting with 1000 credits you only started 100. The first thing I did to start this game is self-destruct my ship so I would have 1000 creds. To funny, thank you ED.
To make it even worse, because they spread us out all over the universe, slopey's and elitetradingtool don't work and that is all I have ever used to trade because ED's internal tools suck. I am considering just quitting the game until slopeys and elitetradingtool can program in my systems. I am to far away from Aulin to jump back to that area.

Haha, going to Sol was the first thing I planned on doing. Some of my friends are avid astronomers and for them to see our solar systems on this beautiful engine will hopefully take their breath away. I know it will take mine away!
Yikes! That does sound like a big change! I'm hoping It's not too far away from the core systems! I like the idea of randomly spawning, but not any more than 30 Ly's away from Eranin and surrounding systems

Well, it's pretty much beta 3.9 without the bubble and some more bugs so far

! where the heck am i? LHS 1914 currently at Vittori Terminal (never even close to this location before, but hey SOL aint very far away ). I have a LOUSY 100 bucks (credits) actually 94 once i refueled. So here i sit drinking a beer wondering what my next move should be?That's the way I look at is as well. I like to help out and report bugs, but other than that I honestly want to save the big experiences like buying your first viper to be special.
Think out of the box... if you don't take the plunge you'll be stuck there for hours just trying to figure out how to make ANY money. So I targeted the nearest unknown system, turned out it had a station and a nice class M planet and 1 would be pirate at nav beacon for 1000 bucks so I went from no money bouncing station to station to back to 3k in the bank with my freeagle.. Which isn't bad.
(in hindsight for all those who are not risk takers don't get your freeagle until you have the money to replace it unless you're going to sell it for its 44k value but that's kinda cheating yourself if you think about it).

thinking i am going to do some missions, they have a bunch of light mission cargo 3/4 from 1500 credits up to 4000 credits. or like the one poster said crash my sidy for 1000 credits????
