So I've got an AspX moderately well outfitted for exploration (40ly jump range - only the jump drive is really engineered, no guardian stuff yet). And I decided to set off from Sol to Colonia, swing by Sag A, and then return to the bubble, hopefully earning my Elite status in Exploration by the time I got back.
Seems like a reasonable plan, right?
So for some reason in my haste to get underway I was selling all non-essential components. Including my Detailed Surface Scanner and worse, my Planetary Approach Suite. I'm now sitting about 2/3 of the way to Colonia, I've passed three systems with planetary bases that I couldn't land on, and have found at least two unexplored systems that I'd love to get my name attached to.
Hopefully I'm not losing out on too much valuable data...
