3 A shields + 4 A Boosters is all you need.
Gives plenty more than absorbing bumps. and still 280 cargo.
Dont be a skimp on thrusters , distributor and Powerplant go all out .
you are ok to go, and just bring lasers too, you have the juice with A grade loadout.
Nothing much can stop you.

I do the same in my Python when trading.
We are used to not needing more. I am wondering whether I should sacrifice some cargo space to run with better shields and armament.

I run my Python with 200t space and pulse lasers and multi-cannons. I want to trade with teeth! I usually submit to interdiction by NPCs and slug it out (unless it's an Anaconda).

I always run from human players or submit and hand over cargo. Not a frequent occurrence so I can afford the occasional loss of credit.
